The exam is different too. The old process had two CBTs, with 100 marks and 120 marks, at 90 minutes each. The new one has a single-stage CBT of 100 marks and 120 minutes. General Awareness has been dropped, and Data Analysis and Basic Science have been added. Shortlisting for CBAT stays at 1:8, and final merit is still 70% CBT and 30% CBAT.
Zone-Wise Vacancies
The break-up will come with the full notification. For the time being, these 1,250 positions shall be distributed among all 21 RRBs – Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Jammu-Srinagar, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Prayagraj, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, and Thiruvananthapuram.
